Automation Engineer I Position Overview Responsibilities Become an equipment and product expert in designated departments. Support mechanical/electrical technicians and process engineers when advanced problem solving is needed. Partner with departmental production teams to identify and implement safety, quality, and productivity improvement ideas. Support and drive Plant/Departmental goals. Mentor, evaluate, and develop plant technical resources. Design and manage the implementation of capital projects. May not only include the controls portion of the project but the electrical power, and mechanical portion as well. Maintain and enforce corporate electrical standards and code requirements. - Assist with local oversight and long-term ownership of corporately managed projects. Ensure supportability of all automation solutions. This includes management of drawings, documentation, procedures, source code, spare parts, obsolescence awareness, and availability of third-party support. Work with CIM and other Shaw Automation Engineers to share knowledge and leverage resources.
