About The Position

Develops, designs, builds and tests robotic platforms from prototype through product commercialization. Creates an integrated autonomous interface, mobility, communication, and human-robot interaction. Works with cross-functional teams to understand opportunities for robotic applications. Alternate 12 Hour Weekend A Shift: Friday morning 6:30 am - 7:00 pm Sunday evening. This position is located at our GD Lincoln West facility.

Requirements

Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Responsibilities

Assists engineers with the development and implementation of automation systems or components.
Programs, installs, tests, and maintains robots or automated components.
Assists in the commissioning and deployment of new automation installations, conducts field trials to ensure appropriate operation, and prepares reports or records documenting actions or findings.
Investigate and troubleshoots defects or bugs, complete repairs and provides preventative maintenance.
Programs and troubleshoots PLCs and associated control systems.
Reads and understands equipment schematics.
Designs simple electronic control systems, specifies control equipment, builds and installs control systems.
