Requirements
- 3+ years of automation and controls experience preferred
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Working knowledge of industrial automation systems and components
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer support and service work
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automation systems
- Design and implement control logic including ladder logic, function block, and structured text
- Install, test, and maintain control panels, HMIs, and industrial networks
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Configure and integrate VFDs, sensors, and automation components
- Support system design, testing, and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure compliance with UL 891, UL 1008, and other applicable electrical standards
- Provide technical support to production, field service, and sales teams
- Assist with quotes and bills of materials
- Travel monthly for out-of-state site visits and service calls
