About The Position

This role is responsible for the development, alignment, and execution of site roadmaps for Automation upgrades and Digital Manufacturing Transformation within a cluster of plants. The Lead Engineer will manage a multifunctional team to design, implement, and utilize new automation and digital solutions, ensuring strong benefits for the cluster. This includes executing Project Management responsibilities for Capital projects related to Automation and Digital Manufacturing Transformation, and owning the tracking of benefits and savings throughout project progression. The role also involves the day-to-day management of site automation within the cluster, ensuring adherence to MINT standards for cyber security and automation infrastructure. Key responsibilities include developing and executing roadmaps for automation and CCN infrastructure, acting as an escalation point for automation, CCN Automation Infrastructure, or cyber security issues, and developing and managing site and cluster budgets for support, maintenance, and lifecycle management. The Lead Engineer will coordinate business involvement in technology lifecycle management, own the business continuity plan and disaster recovery for CCN systems, and ensure alignment with enterprise recovery procedures. Collaboration with the Cluster MDS lead and Plant Champion is essential, as is developing cybersecurity and automation capabilities within the cluster. Stakeholder management will focus on optimizing user compliance, process performance, and customer satisfaction. The role involves developing and executing the Process, Control & Information Systems (PC&IS) roadmap, including digitalization and tool implementation to enhance the Digital Maturity Index, considering computerization, connectivity, visibility, transparency, predictive capacity, and adaptability. Escalations for exceptions or improvement ideas will be made to the regional Automation Lead, and active participation in global/regional automation & systems development and security communications is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, aligns and executes site roadmaps for Automation upgrades and Digital Manufacturing Transformation.
  • Leads a multifunctional team to design, implement and fully utilize new automation and digital solutions that provide strong benefits for the cluster.
  • Execute Project Management responsibilities for the Capital projects as part of the Automation and Digital Manufacturing Transformation.
  • Owns benefit and saving tracking among project progression.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management site automation within the cluster.
  • Responsible for cyber security technology at the plant cluster following MINT standards.
  • Ensures site is following company standards for automation, infrastructure (MINT) and cyber security.
  • Develops and executes site roadmaps for automation, CCN infrastructure incl delivery of shared infrastructure (IDC and CCN components).
  • Issue escalation points for Automation, CCN Automation Infrastructure or cyber security.
  • Development of site and cluster budgets and management of spending for support, maintenance and lifecycle management in line with the standards.
  • Coordinates and ensures business involvement during technology lifecycle to support changes/ upgrades/ replacements.
  • Owns the business continuity plan including disaster recovery of CCN systems.
  • Ensure alignment between local BCP and Enterprise recovery procedures, regarding CCN Automation systems.
  • Collaborate with Cluster MDS lead and Plant Champion (Plant Maintenance Automation lead).
  • Develops capability for cybersecurity and automation within the Cluster.
  • Stakeholder management (focus on optimized user compliance, process performance, and customer satisfaction).
  • Development and execution of the Process, Control & Information Systems (PC&IS), including the Digitalization roadmap and tools implementation to increase the Digital Maturity Index in the site, considering 1) Computerizations, 2) Connectivity, 3) Visibility, 4) Transparency, 5) Predictive capacity, 6) Adaptability.
  • Escalation to regional Automation Lead of desired exceptions or improvement ideas.
  • Active participation in global/regional automation & systems development and security communications.
