The Automation Controls Engineer will design, program, install, modify, and repair all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery in a manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to: Develop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles. Generate electrical schematics and documentation necessary to install and troubleshoot control system and interface it to other system components. Perform PLC/HMI/Automation Controller programming with emphasis on program reliability, safety and ease of updated troubleshooting documentation. Define scope documents for new and existing equipment from external providers. Establish product acceptance criteria. Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements. Work with SCADA and MES vendors and internal IT team to develop and maintain robust data acquisition and management solutions to support plant operations. Work with equipment engineers, process engineers, plant maintenance and operations teams to drive improvements in machine reliability, product quality and process yield.
