We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience of development, integration and sustainment of an Operational Technology Network topology in manufacturing. The network is to support controls engineering for Automation development and deployment. This role also requires strong background in manufacturing processes, and the candidate shall have exceptional interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Extensive experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems.
  • Strong expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking.
  • Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages used in automation and control systems (e.g., Python, Java, Ladder Logic).
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful automation projects.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for manufacture of hardware.
  • Integrate Ignition systems with PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other control systems in manufacturing.
  • Configure Ignition software to meet specific project requirements, including developing custom scripts and templates.
  • Design and implement control systems, including PLC programming, hardware selection, and network configuration.
  • Develop and test software solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless communication and control.
  • Design, develop, and optimize machine automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to automation systems and controls hardware.
  • Analyze processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements through collaboration of various teams in manufacturing.
  • Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.
  • Ability to manage project timelines of work performed, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
