About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting automation projects for all TM locations globally as required. The technician will be involved in machining parts for automation systems, assembly of new automation systems, and identifying cost-saving opportunities related to automation. The position also involves coordinating with outside suppliers, managing time schedules for new automation machines, and procuring necessary parts. Additionally, the role includes vision system programming, setup, and assisting in production start-ups related to automation machines. The technician must be able to operate a lathe and milling machine, and perform MIG welding.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
PLC, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical and Electrical Blueprint reading training.
Fanuc Training.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to learn Automation systems, assembly processes, machining, Pneumatics, and hydraulic processes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer experience.
Certification in Lock out tag out training.
Basic electrical knowledge.
Welding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
Crane certified.

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in or completion of maintenance apprenticeship program.
