Requirements

Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D.; Minimum of 20 years in lieu of a degree
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance
Strong experience in requirements definition, system decomposition, system modeling (e.g., Model-Based Systems Engineering - MBSE), and trade-off studies.
Proven technical leadership ability, including providing direction, facilitating working groups, and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting FAA programs or National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Aviation Systems.

Responsibilities

Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of these modernized technologies.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of flight service infrastructure components.
Assists in the determination of user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
Ensures software standards are met.
Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Participates in technical reviews with PMO and vendors.
Provide technical guidance and support to field teams.
