About The Position
The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts 4-6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The Company's Automation and Engineering Co-Op will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of complex experiments. This may involve the following tasks: Gathering information from collaborating scientists and engineers to construct requirements, Designing and building necessary components, programs and determining how they may work together, Creating diagrams and models to guide users, Ensuring designed instrumentation and programs run appropriately, Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and potential third party teams and strategizing on implementation, Experiment execution, data collection and analysis. The Company Automation Engineering Co-Op should be pursuing a degree in a science or engineering discipline and have knowledge of basic biological techniques, computer programming, mechanical design, and workflow execution.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Biology, Computer Science, Chemical/Bio Engineering, or related discipline
- Knowledge of basic biological techniques, computer programming, mechanical design, and workflow execution
- Must be available for a period 24-week period
Nice To Haves
- G.P.A of 3.0 or higher
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
- Robotics programming experience
- Coursework involving lab
