About The Position

Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician for their Baltimore, MD branch. Our technicians repair, maintain, and install doors on location in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more. The ideal candidate will have a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical, installing or servicing products, or any other skilled trade. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.

Requirements

Must possess an unrestricted and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Comfortable using power tools and hand tools - personally or professionally.
Ability to stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment; lift 75+ pounds; work at heights/use a ladder
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen required. Flu, and other vaccinations may be required.

Nice To Haves

Preference for having worked with carpentry, electric, military, HVAC, or similar.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products
Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment to drive project success.
Learn techniques from trainer, building on existing skills and showing a desire to grow.
Ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.
