About The Position

Lane Valente Industries is an international construction and facility maintenance company with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Automatic Door Service Technician performs service, repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance for a variety of commercial and automatic doors, related hardware, equipment, and control devices. The role requires technical proficiency, carpentry skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong customer-service orientation. Technicians must be able to manage multiple projects, work within time constraints, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
• Experience servicing commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, and emergency exit devices, and performing preventative maintenance.
• Carpentry skills, including partition framing with metal or wood studs and installation of doors and windows.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work within time and other constraints.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and processes.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• AAADM certification.
• Experience with Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, or Assa Abloy door manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, hollow metal and storefront doors, and automatic folding, swing, and sliding doors.
• Service a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
• Use carpentry skills for partition framing with metal or wood studs and for installing doors and windows.
• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, and emergency exit devices.
• Manage multiple projects and work effectively within time and other constraints.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
• Pay close attention to detail and adhere to processes.
• Provide strong customer service.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
