About The Position

The Automated Case Packer (ACP) Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, monitoring, and performing basic troubleshooting on automatic case packing equipment to support efficient and safe production. This role ensures equipment runs reliably, product quality standards are met, and all safety, sanitation, and food safety requirements are followed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating packaging or manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery, conveyor systems, and pneumatic systems a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow operating instructions, SOPs, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment or materials and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate automatic case packing equipment according to production requirements.
  • Adjust and calibrate sensors, conveyors, and machine components for optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Identify and report equipment issues; perform basic troubleshooting as trained.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Production teams to address equipment or production issues.
  • Assist with replacement of worn or defective parts under Maintenance guidance.
  • Monitor product flow to minimize defects, errors, and rework.
  • Break down rework in a timely manner off ACP and related areas.
  • Follow all GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, SQF, and food safety requirements.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Responsible for complying with applicable SQF requirements, food safety policies, quality standards, GMPs, and company procedures relevant to their position.
  • Support training of new employees on proper ACP operation as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with other operators, leads, and departments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision.
