About The Position

This position is responsible for using power equipment to safely handle product while performing the receiving and/or shipping processes. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a material handling equipment license.
  • Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Experience and knowledge about Food Safety or willingness to receive training.

Responsibilities

  • Use power equipment to safely handle product during receiving and/or shipping processes.
  • Meet established productivity standards specific to the account.
  • Understand the stocking, picking, and loading strategy of the assigned account.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
  • Complete the Handling Hours tracking document daily.
  • Follow established Dock Safety, Fork Lift & Product Handling processes.
  • Follow the Motorized Equipment Daily Inspection Procedures prior to equipment operation.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, and potential safety hazards to management immediately.
  • Perform daily stretches as outlined prior to commencing work.
  • Follow established safety and security policies.
  • Understand the handling requirements of the products stored in the operations.
  • Follow SOPs in regards to product handling, stacking, storage, and loading.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free.
  • Complete inspection checklists as required.
  • Scan product properly, matching item codes on product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product prior to put away and/or loading.
  • Complete all inbound and outbound paperwork accurately and completely (receiving tickets, pick lists, load reports, etc.).
  • Report all product damage to management and/or warehouse coordinator for immediate action.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancies to management and/or warehouse coordinator for immediate action.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Participate in general area housekeeping.
  • Gain knowledge of multiple accounts and/or job functions within the given operation.
  • Follow food/safety SOPs and AIB standards.
  • Receive training in Food Safety if not already knowledgeable.
