About The Position

Hennessy Research Associates, a Kemin company, is seeking an Autogenous Technical Operator with good experience in vaccine manufacturing. The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and sterilize manufacturing solutions required for biological manufacturing. This includes measuring and blending materials and operating equipment in the manufacturing process. Prepare and sterilize equipment required to manufacture biologics for animal vaccines. The ideal candidate is expected to follow manufacturing SOPs, instructions, adhere to the required measures to ensure the highest quality of product and safe work environment and Lot Records to produce biologics for animal vaccines. This position is based on-site at our Lenexa, Kansas location. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience manufacturing biologics (vaccine manufacturing experience would be ideal)
  • Previous hands-on laboratory experience and proficiency in sterilization techniques.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Must interact well with others in a team environment.
  • Exhibit attention to detail.
  • Basic PC skill

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sterilize manufacturing solutions required for biological manufacturing
  • Prepare and sterilize equipment required to manufacture biologics for animal vaccines
  • Follow manufacturing SOPs and Lot Records to produce biologics for animal vaccines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area to support smooth laboratory and production workflows.
  • Follow safety guidelines and documentation practices.
  • Operate and monitor equipment by reading and following equipment monitoring systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process flow charts.
  • May perform basic troubleshooting of equipment/processes as needed.
