About The Position

Hennessy Research Associates, a Kemin company, is seeking an Autogenous Technical Operator with experience in vaccine manufacturing. The position prepares and sterilizes manufacturing solutions and equipment required for biological manufacturing and animal vaccine production. Duties include measuring and blending materials and operating manufacturing equipment. The operator follows manufacturing SOPs, instructions, safety measures, and Lot Records to help ensure product quality and a safe work environment.

This position is based on-site at the company’s Lenexa, Kansas location. A post-offer background check and drug screen are required, and additional pre-employment requirements may apply. Kemin’s campus is drug-free and tobacco-free.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five to ten years of experience manufacturing biologics; vaccine manufacturing experience is ideal.
• Previous hands-on laboratory experience and proficiency in sterilization techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and materials.
• Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize manufacturing solutions required for biological manufacturing.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment required to manufacture biologics for animal vaccines.
• Follow manufacturing SOPs and Lot Records to produce biologics for animal vaccines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area to support laboratory and production workflows.
• Follow safety guidelines and documentation practices.
• Operate and monitor equipment by reading and following equipment monitoring systems, SOPs, and process flow charts.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment or processes as needed.
