Autoclave Technician
About The Position
Clean Harbors is seeking an Autoclave Technician in La Porte, TX, to process medical waste in the medical processing side of the facility, which includes operating an autoclave. The role involves working the second shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm), Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime and Saturday work. Training will be conducted on a day shift schedule for several weeks. Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, etc
- Ability to drive trucks within facility
Nice To Haves
- 1 plus years of related labor and computer experience preferred
- Experience in medical waste or medical facility is helpful
- Forklift skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Operate an autoclave to process medical waste
- Load and unload route trucks
- Prepare waste loads for shipment to Recycle Center/Distribution Center
- Manage inventory order and receiving process
- General housekeeping and keeping a clean work area
- Ensure waste is stored in safe and proper manner
