About The Position

Amentum is seeking an AutoCAD/Specialist in Mossville, IL! This role involves maintaining and updating facility drawings, performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits, assisting with facility maintenance, managing projects and infrastructure, and overseeing contractor and safety management. The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with potential for overtime on Saturdays to meet business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and organize facility drawings to ensure accurate records of building systems and site infrastructure.
  • Review and revise floor plans, utility layouts, civil site drawings, and equipment locations using AutoCAD and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors and project leads to incorporate facility modifications, maintain drawing archives, and ensure engineering documents are readily available.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) audits to verify asset availability, labeling accuracy, documentation updates, power source identification, and proper breaker labeling for regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drainage, and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues and identify root causes, then find the right contact to fix the issue.
  • Perform regular inspections to find safety, structural, or maintenance concerns.
  • Conduct site’s assets audits.
  • Estimate materials, costs, and project requirements for facility improvements.
  • Manage construction and repair projects from planning through completion.
  • Track project schedules, budgets, and contractor performance.
  • Coordinate contractors, review bids, and manage vendor work.
  • Ensure contractors follow OSHA, hot work, and site safety requirements.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance.
  • Develop and update 3-D and solid CAD/CAE models to assist in the development of equipment arrangement, traffic flow and office space.
  • Update site maps and emergency posters, site parking and traffic flow maps.
  • Work from work orders, verbal and written instructions to perform duties.
  • Consult with appropriate individuals as required.
  • May visit job sites and make preliminary layouts to check critical design problems, and/or to re-check problem areas.
  • Provide drawings that incorporate drafting manual standards and procedures, architectural standards, and other national standards as required.
  • Check complex drawings for technical accuracy, errors and completeness.
  • Conduct design review of technical documentation and drawings against performance specifications for technical compliance.
  • Reviews technical documentation and drawings against as-built equipment for technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply knowledge of procedures and systems to a broad range of basic issues.
  • Maintain files and back-up disks.
  • Run prints for the department.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
