We are seeking an AutoCAD Designer / Drafter to support engineering, maintenance, and capital projects within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate, compliant technical documentation that supports safe, efficient, and compliant operations across production, utilities, and cleanroom facilities. What You’ll Be Doing As an AutoCAD Designer / Drafter, you will partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, and Project teams to create and maintain high-quality technical drawings that reflect current site conditions and support ongoing improvements.

Requirements

Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
2–5+ years of AutoCAD experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities environment
Strong ability to interpret and update mechanical, electrical, architectural, and piping drawings
Experience working with P&IDs, equipment specifications, and utility schematics
Working knowledge of building codes, piping standards, and industrial safety practices
Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to document control

Nice To Haves

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other cGMP-regulated environments
Familiarity with cleanroom design principles and pharmaceutical utility systems
Exposure to 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD 3D, Revit, or SolidWorks
Knowledge of ISO, ASME, FDA, or ICH standards related to facilities and equipment
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D a plus)
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration
Comfort supporting multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

Developing, revising, and maintaining AutoCAD drawings such as: Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Equipment and facility layouts Cleanroom layouts and classifications Utility systems (purified water, clean steam, compressed air, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation)
Updating as-built drawings following equipment installation, upgrades, or facility modifications
Managing drawing revisions, numbering, and changing histories within the site document management system (EDMS)
Ensuring drawings align with cGMP, FDA, safety, and internal engineering standards
Supporting validation activities, audits, and regulatory documentation in partnership with Quality Assurance
Collaborating with engineers, maintenance teams, and project managers on capital and small-scale projects
Conducting site walkdowns to verify existing conditions and dimensions
Reviewing vendor and contractor drawings and coordinating required updates
Supplying drawings for improvement projects, investigations, and safety enhancements
