About The Position

Manatt’s Autobody/Paint Technician works independently and as a team doing frame, body & mechanical repairs performed on semi tractors, trailers, box trucks, pickups & many other large heavy vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
Physical ability to enter, exit and work around/on large vehicles
Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
Vision requirements include ability to see close, distant, color and depth perception
Excellent work ethic.
Strong strategic, visionary, and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in autobody/paint preferred.

Responsibilities

Tears-down, repairs and assembles damaged vehicles using metal-cutting tools/grinders.
Grinds, sands, masks, and otherwise prepares vehicles for painting.
Secures and fits replacement parts using welding equipment.
Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned tasks.
Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas, completing fiberglass repairs, and proper use of other body fillers like Bondo.
Able to produce and maintain high quality work and standards.
Follows safety guidelines and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Keeps work area clean and cleared of any debris and uphold environmental regulations.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.
Strong attention to detail.
