70.AUTO TECH TEACHER (Grace Hopper Technical)

About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE Auto Tech Teacher position at Grace Hopper-Technical for the 2026/2027 school year. The teacher will use automotive technology expertise and teaching or mentoring skills to support instruction, help assemble curriculum, and engage automotive dealers and other industry partners. Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
Requirements
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- ASE Master certified.
- Minimum associate degree in Automotive Technology.
- Minimum five years of recent experience as a Line Technician, preferably in a dealership.
- Strong engine performance and electronic skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice To Haves
- NOVA dual enrolled preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language, Special Education, or another content area preferred but not required.
- Instructor and/or mentor experience is a plus.
