About The Position
The Auto Service Technician Is responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles completing preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, alignments, oil changes, replacing filters, and fluid exchanges.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Nice To Haves
- 6 months related experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired before the car leaves the shop.
- Consistently inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the vehicles inspection report.
- Able to perform the following according to manufactures specifications: Vehicle alignments, Vehicle fluid exchanges, Evaluate brake condition and recommend repair, Oil Changes / Air Filters
- Change, repair, balance, and replace tires ensures proper torquing on all jobs.
- Monitor & replenish lube related inventory.
- Recommend products and services when needed.
- Able to quote repairs.
- Completes all necessary training and is required to maintain certifications (or equivalent i.e., Ford) ASE A5 – Brakes within 1 year of being in position OR ASE G1 – Maintenance and Light Repair
- Assist with phones, front counter, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
