About The Position

This is a field appraiser position responsible for the accurate and timely completion of assigned auto damage appraisals. The candidate will operate within claim standards to provide the most economical means of repair or replacement and at times work to establish Total Loss values. The role involves triaging and utilizing multiple estimating channel options quickly and efficiently in the assigned territory, assuring that training, quality standards, and customer service requirements are met. Responsibilities include the reinspection of repaired vehicles, assessment of repair costs, assessing indemnity and expense exposure, providing outstanding customer service, operating within a team environment, and continuous self-development. The candidate is required to live between Putnam and Albany County, New York.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of prior damage estimating experience.
  • Auto claim handling experience highly preferred.
  • Experience/background working in a prior service industry is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Operate with integrity at all times to allow for trusted credible client interactions.
  • Self-motivated and able to keep on task with minimal direct supervision.
  • Flexibility to travel when required to attend meetings and catastrophe duty.
  • Must hold or be willing to acquire the applicable state's adjuster's license as required by the state.
  • Reside in the assigned territory (between Putnam and Albany County, New York).
