Requirements

  • 2 years previous auto liability and PD claims experience is a MUST.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in auto liability and PD claims for Hybrid consideration.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication (verbal, written, phone) skills.
  • General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster.

Responsibilities

  • Review and determine the course of action on each assigned file, using technical knowledge and experience to support the final disposition of a loss.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate, relevant documentation of file activity, including coverage, liability, status, and damages.
  • Honor, decline, or negotiate first and third-party liability claims after completing coverage/policy investigation and analyzing damages and liability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to gather evidence and establish facts on assigned claims.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work activities to manage current assignments and ensure prompt claim conclusion.
  • Prepare and present claim evaluations for appropriate settlement authority.
  • Notify the Underwriting Department of any adverse information discovered during the investigation.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with unfair claim practices in states where the company operates.
  • Conduct business with vendors professionally, maintaining reasonable expenses and upholding the company's reputation for quality service.
  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Handle other assigned duties as needed.
