Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Tool & Die, and Maintenance personnel
  • Accurately document quality and production information
  • Read prints and operating instructions
  • Use measurement tools to evaluate finished parts
  • Work carefully and maintain strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • At least 6 months of previous manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Remove and set dies into the press using appropriate tools and assistance from a lift driver when needed
  • Load steel into uncoils using an electric winch
  • Adjust metal feed to the correct length based on part specifications
  • Operate the press in both automatic and manual modes
  • Read blueprints and use basic math to make press adjustments
  • Inspect finished parts using the appropriate measuring devices and gauges
  • Record inspection results and production information accurately
  • Stop and adjust the press—or notify the Supervisor or Lead—when quality concerns arise
  • Track press downtime and production quantities
  • Perform assigned basic equipment repair and maintenance activities
  • Follow required Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
