About The Position

The Warehouse Maintenance associate helps keep the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition. He or she is tasked with ensuring that all areas of the warehouse property are organized, clean, and sanitary. Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame is made up of a corporate staff and several different companies, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). We employ more than 1,400 employees, in twelve (12) states, working at approximately 220 locations, all operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint and heavy-duty parts business. In 2019, our company celebrated 100 years of serving our communities as a privately held business with most of our employees spending the majority of their working lives as part of the "Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts" family.

Requirements

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Employees are required to wear safety appropriate clothing in the warehouse, including close-toed shoes.
• Employees are not permitted to use earbuds or any other devices which interfere with their ability to hear.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures and guidelines
• Cleans up accidents and spills
• Performs general maintenance tasks including assembly, repair, and moving of general warehouse and office equipment
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities.
• Helps maintain the totes
• Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cares for lawn and parking lot, including mowing, cleanup, and application of deicer as required
• Delivers parts to customers as needed
• All other job duties as assigned
