About The Position

As a Shipper/Receiver/Dispatcher, the individual will be required to check, pick, receive, ship, stock, and organize automotive parts. They will effectively dispatch delivery drivers and safely deliver auto parts to customers, being mindful of customer requests. They will also help maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the store. They will be required to answer internal and external telephone calls and complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner. Effective use of resources, such as the company database and parts catalogue, will be required.

Requirements

  • G Driver’s License and a 3-year clean abstract required
  • Shipping/Receiving experience is an asset
  • Familiarity and knowledge of the local area
  • Driver dispatching and coordination experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)

Responsibilities

  • Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking, and organizing)
  • Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
  • Process returned or defective products
  • Help control inventory and ensure product availability
  • Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner
  • Collaborate with the main warehouse to resolve stock-related concerns
  • Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet area, workstations, and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize, and mop)
  • When required, answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team
