About The Position

The Auto Parts Specialist is responsible for supporting customers and the Service Department by ensuring the timely and accurate ordering, receiving, inventory management, and distribution of parts. This role is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient departmental operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with inventory management systems preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, calculators, copiers, and printers.
  • Must possess the auditory, verbal, and visual capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers in person, over the phone, and through other communication channels in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the Service Department by identifying, sourcing, and supplying needed parts in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper inventory accounting procedures are followed.
  • Process parts orders, invoices, and costing documents accurately and daily.
  • Order, receive, stock, ship, and expedite parts and special orders to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and package equipment, parts, and merchandise for shipment as requested by other departments.
  • Process returns for damaged, defective, core, and warranty parts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Place weekly and monthly stock orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns and Parts Department-related issues professionally and effectively.
  • Research and identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities from outside suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department and showroom.
  • Create and maintain attractive showroom displays to support merchandising efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
