Requirements

Ability to lift and move parts and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license and clean, insurable driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Professional references.

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive dealership parts experience preferred.
Experience with GM Parts Workbench and GM EPC preferred.
GM Parts experience and/or GM Parts Certification preferred.
Experience with Auto/Mate dealership management software or similar automotive dealership management systems is a plus.
Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership inventory systems.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with technicians, wholesale customers, and retail customers.
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
ASE Parts Specialist Certification is a plus.
Forklift experience and/or certification is a plus.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Assist service technicians, wholesale accounts, and retail customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts and accessories in a timely and professional manner.
Lookup, source, and sell GM and aftermarket parts and accessories using electronic catalogs and dealership systems.
Process parts orders, special orders, returns, and warranty-related transactions accurately and efficiently.
Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Participate in perpetual inventory counts and bin checks to maintain inventory accuracy and proper stock levels.
Accurately record and track lost sales to help identify inventory opportunities and improve parts availability for customers.
Follow up on special-order parts and communicate order status updates to customers and service personnel.
Support the Service Department by providing prompt and accurate parts fulfillment for repair orders.
Help improve parts availability, inventory efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction through attention to detail and proactive communication.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled inventory storage areas and workspaces.
Follow dealership policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the Parts Department and overall dealership operations.
