About The Position

Southern Vehicle Accessories, part of the ADI Network at Hendrick Automotive Group, is seeking a full-time Auto Parts Shipping & Receiving associate for their ADI Center in Baton Rouge, LA. This role is with the largest privately-owned automotive dealer group in the nation and offers opportunities for career growth. The position involves controlling inventory, receiving shipments, stocking parts, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining a safe work area. The pay range is $20 per hour, with a full-time morning shift from 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Requirements

Valid Driver License
Ability to lift 70+ pounds
Deadline-oriented

Nice To Haves

Previous shipping and receiving experience a plus
Previous warehouse and/or forklift experience a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Controls receipt of inventory
Receives incoming shipments, checking the packing slip with actual shipment for completeness and accuracy before placement in appropriate warehouse location
Identifies and reports all overages and shortages
Stocks parts and accessories in correct bin locations
Notifies appropriate personnel of receipt of all special orders
Performs inventory test counts as directed by management
Loads and unloads trucks
May operate a forklift to move materials and unload vehicles
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations
Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
Complies with Company policies and procedures
Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
Other duties as assigned
