About The Position

This role is responsible for shipping and receiving goods within the automotive parts department. The position involves managing inventory, processing returns, and interacting with both internal teams and external customers and vendors. The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve both indoor and outdoor tasks, potentially in inclement weather. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with a CLEAN driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform calculations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stretch, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb, balance, twist, turn, handle, reach, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas.
  • Check quantity and condition of goods received against invoices and purchase orders.
  • Verify billing charges against proper records, specifying parts accurately.
  • Take inventory and maintain records of goods received, including perpetual inventory controls.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the counter, work area, and stockroom.
  • Coordinate parts for vehicle repair and service with the Service Team.
  • Process core returns, parts warranties, and parts returns.
  • Answer telephone and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and vendors via phone, in-person, or email.
  • Assist customers by answering questions and directing them to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
