About The Position

The Auto Parts Delivery Driver will professionally operate equipment to deliver auto parts, soap, and packaged products to customers. The driver will fulfill salespersons communication to add/remove inventory, set min/max of inventory, as well as organization of products. The role involves owning personal safety, supporting the safety culture, providing excellent customer service, and building relationships with customers. Key tasks include safely transporting, unloading, and delivering accurate and quality bulk and package and equipment to customers on time. The driver will maintain a strip/tag label system, use handheld electronics and applications to track deliveries, maintain ELD, and utilize Samsara forward and driver facing camera systems. Maintaining interior cleanliness of trucks and delivery system equipment is also required. Additional responsibilities include rotating and cleaning products and shelving, possible collection of funds, communicating with salespersons/office about customer needs, helping pull orders, putting away stock, and making quick deliveries. Proactive communication with Driver Managers/Dispatch on improvement opportunities is expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
  • Display willingness to learn, maintain quality company image, and be detail oriented.
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate with multiple parties in a project to maintain flow.
  • Understand and maintain an excellent customer service attitude and appearance.
  • Be a self-starter, be able to plan and execute multi step/multi day assignments.
  • Must be able to sit, walk, twist, squat, recline, climb, kneel, grasp, push, pull, reach, repetitive motion.
  • The employee must have the ability to perform basic math—including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
  • This position requires the ability to operate a lift gate and barrel dolly when required.
  • The ability to safely move packaged goods weighing up to 75 pounds and 30 – 55-gallon drums—weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex or varied tasks, relate to others, influence people, make decisions, direct, control, plan, interact with public or coworkers in written form, communicate orally, etc.

Responsibilities
