About The Position

This position is responsible for selling auto parts to customers over the counter, through online channels, or via phone. The role involves interacting with customers, managing orders, and ensuring efficient processing and delivery. The position requires excellent communication skills, basic mathematical abilities, and a valid driver's license. The work environment includes both office and warehouse settings with exposure to various conditions.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
Customer interaction experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
Valid driver's license in good standing.
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.

Responsibilities

Sell parts to customers over the counter, online, or by phone.
Treat customers and fellow employees in accordance with company policies.
Use computer and/or catalogs for job functions.
Inform customers of prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and other necessary information.
Record order information and customer details on order forms or into the computer system.
Route orders to departments for fulfillment and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
Initiate purchase requisitions.
Compute shipping charges and prices according to company guidelines.
Prepare invoices and shipping documents.
Assist customers with loading when necessary.
Receive and follow up on customer complaints, communicating them to the appropriate personnel.
Confer with sales, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to ensure efficient order processing.
Research order discrepancies.
Promote and sell additional merchandise to customers.
Compile statistics and prepare reports for management when requested.
Assist in the warehouse or as a delivery driver as needed.
Perform any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.
