Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in counter sales in a competitive market, with a preference for wholesale auto parts sales in the aftermarket industry.
  • Exceptional phone skills with a positive, enthusiastic, and attentive tone.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships.
  • General automotive knowledge is preferred.
  • Focused on results, a producer, closer, and committed to growth.
  • Experience with POS systems and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives.
  • Outgoing, assertive, proactive, positive, with a “can-do” attitude and tenacity in pursuit of goals.

Nice To Haves

  • An existing customer base is a plus.
  • Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
  • Close sales to achieve goals and drive growth.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Get to know our customers and understand their needs.
  • Locate hard-to-find parts and negotiate with vendors for the best deals.
  • Provide precise quotes and follow up with customers to ensure orders are placed.
  • Track lost sales and promote company specials.
  • Assist colleagues when needed and foster new sales opportunities.
  • Fulfill customer orders from various sectors, including installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
