As a Level 1 Mechanic, you'll play a key role in keeping our customers safely on the road. You'll perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicle systems while working in a professional, team-oriented environment with stable hours, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • 2–4 years of professional automotive repair experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing: Brake systems, Steering and suspension, Charging systems, Basic engine performance concerns, Tune-ups and preventative maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a fast-paced shop environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning as automotive technology evolves.
  • Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive technical training preferred.
  • ASE Certifications A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) are preferred, or willingness to earn certifications with company support.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair brake systems, including inspection, repair, and replacement of components like pads, rotors, calipers, hydraulic systems, and brake lines. Perform brake system maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair steering and suspension components such as shocks, struts, control arms, tie rods, steering racks, and power steering systems. Perform steering inspections and suspension repairs.
  • Diagnose charging system concerns. Test and replace alternators, batteries, voltage regulators, and related electrical components. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Perform tune-ups and preventative maintenance, including replacing spark plugs, ignition components, air filters, fuel filters, and cooling system components. Perform routine maintenance services.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and accurately identify repair needs.
  • Safely lift and support vehicles using shop equipment.
  • Maintain repair documentation and service records.
  • Properly use and maintain diagnostic equipment, hand tools, lifts, and specialty equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and shop standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers when needed and work collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow technicians.
