This role is responsible for performing the upfit of trucks, as well as fabricating, repairing, maintaining, and installing steel items and equipment. The assembly must be completed according to the goals set by the Production Manager. This involves assembling basic equipment and products under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures, reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams, meeting production schedule deadlines, performing quality work checks, identifying and documenting product defects, performing necessary documentation, conferring with supervisors on quality or procedure problems, reworking and/or repairing assembled equipment, and performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is also a key responsibility.
