About The Position

National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking an experienced Auto Field Adjuster for the Los Angeles, CA region. This field-based role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing estimates, and guiding customers through the claims process across Los Angeles and Orange counties. The position is responsible for inspecting and estimating damages for first- and third-party auto material damage claims, evaluating losses, preparing or reviewing estimates, and supporting accurate and efficient claim resolution. The role requires working closely with customers, repair facilities, and internal teams, and may involve supporting quality reviews, providing technical guidance, and maintaining consistent estimating practices.

Requirements

• Strong auto estimating experience.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and estimates damages for first- and third-party auto material damage claims.
• Evaluates losses and prepares or reviews estimates.
• Supports accurate and efficient claim resolution.
• Works closely with customers, repair facilities, and internal teams to move claims forward.
• May support quality reviews, provide technical guidance, and help maintain consistent estimating practices.
• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices.
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files.
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training.
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers.
