About The Position

At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we’re hiring an Estimator II. Join a dynamic team where accuracy and efficiency drive client satisfaction. As an Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing timely and precise estimates for reconditioning services on consigned vehicles for both wholesale and retail clients. You’ll assess vehicle damage, document recommended repairs, and collaborate with clients for approval. Estimates will be created using Manheim’s proprietary tools to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field; or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs (e.g. tools, equipment)
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
  • Clear a pre-employment drug test.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Responsibilities

  • Provide estimation services for assigned auction locations, focusing on cosmetic (body) repairs and mechanical repairs to support client needs.
  • Deliver accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning work, ensuring proper documentation for both cosmetic and mechanical services.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendor, and operations teams to initiate approved work and maintain smooth repair flow.
  • Work closely with vendors, parts suppliers, and procurement/purchasing staff to verify accurate pricing, availability, and sourcing of required parts and materials.
  • Track repair progress, monitor completion timelines, and communicate updates with clients, transportation teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of repair estimates, approvals, and completed work in compliance with company policies.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all safety guidelines and modeling safe behaviors.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives, team huddles, and process improvement activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
