About The Position

This non-exempt role involves repairing automotive equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment, and trailers. The assigned duties are according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Must have own tools and toolbox
  • Must have 2-5 years experience minimal working on GM and Ford Vehicles
  • Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Need to have a valid TWIC Card or be able to get one
  • Must have experience with modern automotive scan tools and diagnosis ability
  • General gasoline and diesel engine knowledge
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work self-directed and alone at times
  • Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Nice To Haves

  • ASME certified preferred
  • Technical training and/or industrial related safety experience

Responsibilities

  • Repairs automotive equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, carts, buggies, air compressors, welding machines, cranes, dirt equipment and trailers
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
