About The Position

CARSTAR Murray’s in Des Moines, Washington, is hiring an Auto Body Technician for its highest-volume shop, a Tesla-certified repair center with a consistent flow of work. Murray’s Collision Group is a family-owned collision repair company that has served the Puget Sound since 1984. The position offers flat-rate pay of $22–$30 per flagged hour, based on skill, quality, and experience, with no stated cap on earnings. The posting estimates that a skilled technician producing two flagged hours per hour worked could earn more than $100,000 annually. The schedule is four 10-hour workdays, with three-day weekends and no weekend shifts. The shop is described as modern and well-equipped, with state-of-the-art tools, frame and measuring equipment, and laptop access in the bay. Training opportunities include Tesla and I-CAR training. Requirements

Proficiency in I-CAR welding.
Hands-on experience with frame and measuring equipment.

Aluminum or electric-vehicle repair experience; Tesla training will be supported.

Responsibilities

Perform collision repairs, including structural repair, welding, and sheet metal work.
Use frame and measuring equipment to restore vehicles to precise manufacturer specifications.
Repair aluminum and electric vehicles, including Tesla vehicles, following OEM repair procedures.
Disassemble and reassemble vehicles and document repairs throughout the process.
Work with the team to meet repair deadlines while maintaining quality.
Keep the workspace clean and organized and follow shop safety protocols.
