Drive Family First is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician for their Elk Grove Custom Collision Center. The role involves repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring safety and quality. Requirements

• 5+ years of collision repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, OEM repair procedures, and collision repair techniques.
• Welding proficiency (MIG/steel and squeeze-type resistance welding).
• Experience with frame machines and three-dimensional measuring systems.
• Your own tools appropriate to the trade.
• A positive attitude, a team-first mindset, and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the day in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Aluminum welding experience.
• I-CAR training and welding certifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition, ensuring safe and complete repairs.
• Perform structural and non-structural repairs, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and welding, adhering to OEM, I-CAR repair procedures, and best industry practices.
• Work from repair plans and estimates, and communicate with Estimators regarding supplements or hidden damage.
• Operate Car-O-Liner frame machines, measuring systems, and welding equipment (MIG, squeeze-type resistance) with skill and precision.
• Meet production targets without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with paint, parts, and detail teams to ensure efficient workflow from disassembly to final delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, and take care of equipment and colleagues.
