About The Position

McCandless Collision Center is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of collision repair experience and a proven track record of producing high-quality repairs. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their craftsmanship and is committed to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional auto body collision repair experience required.
  • Experience with aluminum repair and aluminum welding is required.
  • Working knowledge of CCC ONE estimating and repair management software is required.
  • Must provide and maintain your own professional automotive repair tools.
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability are required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean production environment, following standardized repair processes, maintaining an organized workspace, and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Strong knowledge of structural and non-structural collision repair procedures.
  • Experience with frame repair and computerized measuring systems.
  • Ability to read OEM repair procedures and repair estimates.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • I-CAR ProLevel and aluminum repair certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and determine repair requirements using repair orders and OEM repair procedures.
  • Repair and replace damaged body panels, structural components, and vehicle frames.
  • Perform frame and unibody measuring and straightening.
  • Complete dent repairs, body filler work, sanding, and surface preparation.
  • Perform aluminum body repairs and aluminum welding in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform MIG welding and other metal repair techniques as required.
  • Install replacement parts, trim, moldings, glass, and hardware.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and McCandless Collision Center's quality standards.
  • Accurately document repairs and communicate progress using CCC ONE.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with estimators, painters, and other team members to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.
