About The Position

Join Hunter Automotive Group's Collision Repair Team Hunter Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our growing collision repair team. If you have experience in auto body repair, collision damage restoration, and vehicle reconstruction, we want to hear from you. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys restoring damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition. You'll work with modern repair equipment, advanced vehicle systems, and a team dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Position Overview As an Auto Body Technician, you will perform collision repairs, structural repairs, body panel replacement, dent removal, and vehicle restoration services. You will inspect damaged vehicles, determine appropriate repair methods, and complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair Technician, or Body Shop Technician
  • Experience performing both cosmetic and structural repairs
  • Strong understanding of collision repair procedures and auto body restoration techniques
  • Experience using frame machines, welders, sanders, and collision repair equipment
  • Ability to diagnose vehicle damage and determine effective repair solutions
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical diagrams, and repair specifications
  • Familiarity with modern vehicle construction and repair procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • I-CAR, ASE, or related industry certifications
  • Experience working with advanced vehicle systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform collision repair services on vehicles with cosmetic and structural damage
  • Restore vehicles to pre-accident condition using approved repair procedures
  • Complete body repairs including dent removal, panel repair, and component replacement
  • Repair or replace damaged bumpers, doors, hoods, fenders, and other body components
  • Inspect vehicles for collision-related damage
  • Perform frame repair and structural correction procedures
  • Utilize frame machines and repair equipment to restore vehicle integrity
  • Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Prepare vehicles for paint and refinishing processes
  • Verify proper panel alignment, fit, and finish
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the repair process
  • Ensure completed repairs meet company and industry standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Properly utilize body shop tools, welding equipment, frame machines, and repair technology
  • Collaborate with service advisors, estimators, and team members to ensure timely repair completion
  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and industry best practices
