About The Position

Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements, including structural, body, and cosmetic damage. Prepares vehicles for body repair work. Perform body repairs such as dent removals, fixing body lines, and plastic welding. Repairs, restores, and refinishes damaged vehicle bodies to return them to factory or pre-accident condition. Will need to remove, repair, or replace damaged components, including bumpers, fenders, doors, panels, and trims, as needed. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and applying fillers as needed. Guide Coat, Primer, and Bondo are utilized during all processes. Ensure proper alignment of panels, gaps, and body lines. Knowledge in Operating Stud welding equipment. Follow repair orders accurately and complete all assigned work within established timeframes. Maintain high-quality workmanship by adhering to company standards and OEM repair procedures. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet safety and appearance standards. Keep the work area clean and organized while maintaining tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with supervisors, estimators, and team members regarding repair progress and issues. Follow all safety guidelines and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Guide Coat, Primer, and Bondo are utilized during all processes.
  • Knowledge in Operating Stud welding equipment.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in an Auto Body Shop environment as a body repair technician.
  • Knowledge of parts removal
  • Paint Prep and masking, Painting, and buffing a plus
  • Knowledge of Waterborne Paint a plus.
  • Looking for a person who is all-around well-versed in the auto body shop.
  • Willing to assist in other areas based on business needs.
