About The Position

HIWASTE mfg. & HI-LUX CUSTOMS is seeking an Auto Body & Paint Technician with mechanical experience to join their team. The HI-LUX CUSTOMS Division specializes in flipping and restoring classic cars, luxury vehicles, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment, performing full restorations, custom builds, and mechanical upgrades. This role involves performing a variety of auto body and paint tasks, with a secondary focus on providing mechanical support.

Requirements

Proven experience in auto body work and painting
Strong skills in bodywork, sanding, masking, and finishing techniques
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

Perform dent repair, rust repair, panel replacement, and body modifications
Prep vehicles for paint (sanding, masking, priming, block work) and apply basecoat/clearcoat/custom finishes
Blend paint and perform touch-ups when needed
Repair fiberglass and minor fabrication for fitment adjustments
Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety compliance
Assist with light mechanical work such as suspension disassembly and supporting engine or drivetrain removal
Reassemble vehicles after paint
Perform light mechanical repairs as assigned
Maintain organized work area
Follow project timelines
Coordinate with Senior Restoration Supervisor and mechanics
Assist in final vehicle inspection and detailing prep
