About The Position

Dent Wizard is hiring an experienced Auto Body Paint Technician to perform automotive reconditioning at customer and partner locations. The role involves travel to customers and independent work at dealerships, rental agencies, and auctions. Technicians perform minor automotive paint repairs, from touch-ups to full-surface repairs, using spray equipment and established techniques. Compensation is 100% commission-based, with uncapped earning potential; stated earning potential is $50,000–$75,000 in the first year and $70,000–$150,000+ long term. The advertised starting compensation is $50,000–$150,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

The company provides tools and supplies, a company vehicle, gas card, mobile phone, ongoing training, and a career path with five levels from Senior Tech to World-Class Tech. Technicians are required to wear appropriate respiratory PPE. Candidates selected for an offer undergo post-offer, pre-employment screening appropriate to the role, which may include a physical examination, vision assessment, background check, and drug screening.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in collision repair or bodywork.
• Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.
• Self-motivation, grit, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
• Physical ability to kneel, bend, squat, and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to wear the appropriate respirator and other required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with color-matching systems and certifications such as PPG or BASF; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers to perform automotive reconditioning, including paint touch-ups and full-surface repairs.
• Prepare, blend, and finish vehicle surfaces.
