About The Position
Art City Auto Body is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to support our refinish department. This role is essential to ensuring vehicles are properly prepared for painting and refinishing, helping deliver high-quality repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
Nice To Haves
- Previous automotive paint preparation experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint application by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
- Remove contaminants and ensure surfaces meet quality standards before painting.
- Assist painters with vehicle movement, material preparation, and shop organization.
- Perform final cleaning and inspection of vehicles prior to paint application.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
