About The Position

First Student is hiring an Auto Body Mechanic in Pittsburg, PA. serving the Pittsburgh School District! This role involves performing automotive body repairs, including straightening bent bodies, removing dents, and replacing damaged parts. You will also be responsible for documenting repair and maintenance actions, ensuring vehicle security and safety, and providing written estimates of repair when requested.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Must have your own tools
1-2 years of experience within an auto body repair facility
ASE credentials or ability to obtain (we pay for material and testing)
Subject to DOT drug testing.

Nice To Haves

Auto Body & Collision Damage repair certificates preferred

Responsibilities

Performs damaged sheet metal and body repairs.
Remove, replace, or repair body parts using hand and power tools
Documents all repair and maintenance actions on work orders
Ensures vehicle security and safety while in the shop
Provides written estimates of repair when requested

Benefits

Starting Hourly Rate: $27.50 (NOT flat rate).
Bonus rate increase $.25 for each ASE School Bus Series test passed and maintained (up to $2/hour more).
Monday–Friday 7:00am-4:00pm day shift schedule with consistent, year-round work.
