Auto Attorney-Represented Claims Adjuster
About The Position
National General is seeking an Auto Attorney-Represented Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex auto claims involving attorney representation. In this role, you will determine coverage, assess liability and damages, negotiate settlements within authority limits, and work directly with attorneys, claimants, and other stakeholders to achieve fair claim resolutions. The ideal candidate will have experience handling attorney-represented auto liability and bodily injury claims, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage complex claim files.

- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment.
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.

Responsibilities
- Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
- Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority
- For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic to moderate injury claims
- Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage
- Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
- Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
- Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, etc.)
