Wissahickon Charter School is seeking an Autistic Support Teacher for a self-contained classroom at their Fernhill Campus. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related needs, primarily Kindergarteners with high needs, potentially including toileting. The teacher will develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs), create structured and supportive learning environments, and collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff to foster academic, social, behavioral, communication, and functional growth. A commitment to improving the skills of students with disabilities and addressing diverse learning needs is essential. Experience with students with ASD in an urban school setting and a collaborative spirit are highly valued.
