About The Position
Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate Behavioral Support Facilitators to help students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally within the school environment. This role involves supporting students with behavioral or emotional needs in a school-based setting. The position offers a consistent school-day schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. It is suitable for individuals experienced in behavioral support, those exploring careers in education or psychology, or those transitioning from other clinical or support settings.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional support needs, or developmental disabilities required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and behavioral support skills
- Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or college coursework in education, psychology, behavioral health, or related field preferred
- RBT certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group behavioral support during classroom activities
- Implement behavior support and intervention plans
- Utilize de-escalation and positive behavior support strategies
- Collect behavioral and progress-monitoring data
- Promote a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Support students across classroom, lunch, recess, and transitional settings
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary school teams
- Encourage student participation, independence, and social-emotional growth
